Recognizing Your Inner Voice
Being a firstborn, I always made sure everyone was cared for before myself. Heart-based intuition was my guiding force, even if I didn't realize it at the time. As a child, I didn’t understand that surrendering control could lead to clarity and peace. Those lessons came later, often through difficult experiences.
Understanding emotions as signals became heart's wisdom which propeled me forward with greater ease rather than relying solely on my mind. It’s crucial to honor your inward intuition instead of suppressing or dismissing it. Over time, this practice deepened my connection with spiritual awareness.
Overcoming Doubt and External Validation
Learning to Trust Fully. I trusted two wealthy men who advised me what to do with an extra $1,000 in my early 20's rather than following my own inspiration. The experience was invaluable. I learned the hard way an idea that came within was worth pursuing. When I shared it, it was met with skepticism and I was told it was too risky. I felt the lost and learned an expensive lesson in trusting what came to me in silence.
Self-trust is vital for developing authenticity. It took time to decern ideas that would come to me in the quiet. Your true personal power are essential. Listening to what comes from within you can lead to profound growth and beautiful ideas.
Listening to what speaks to you.
One busy morning, I was taking my son to school. As we approached an intersection, the light turned green. For some reason, I hesitated. My son urged me to go, asking, "What are you waiting for?" Thankfully, that moment of hesitation saved our lives. A large utility truck barreled through the red light. My son's wide eyes mirrored the shock of the situation, and he learned a lesson in trust without any words exchanged. I have no idea why I waitrd a bit. Maybe a guardian angle? Maybe not our time to go bye bye. He shared that moment for weeks and never forgot it.
Trusting myself has improved my relationships, career, and overall well-being while raising three boys. Recognizing our mistakes is part of the trust-building process.
Embracing Vulnerability and Courage
Letting go of what others think can be challenging. Vulnerability is not always comfortable. Timing plays a crucial role in connecting with your spirit and with others. Learning to be vulnerable and trusting the heart takes time to know it. However, self-trust as a practice, rather than a pursuit of perfection, becomes your greatest asset.
